Preventing Hemorrhoids/Hemroids

Any sort of strain put on the anus or anal area may lead to piles.

Tiny veins surrounding the rectum become inflamed and a hemorrhoid is born. By reducing the strain put on the anus, we are able to scale back the probability of getting piles.

There are some basic things that you can do to change your way of life a touch to reduce the danger of developing unpleasant piles. Change your diet to include foods that are rich in fiber. Fibrous foods create standard stools that are able pass from the body simply. Passing stool simply creates less strain on the anal muscles and so decreases the danger of hemorrhoids. Some foods that are rich in fiber include : grains, foods high in bran, fruits and veg. Fast foods might be convenient but they also cause the stool to toughen due to their shortage of fiber. These foods will raise your possibility of piles so they should be avoided. If you’re feeling that you are not getting enough quantity of fiber in your diet then there are fiber products available over the counter at your local drugstore that will help soften the stool. These products customarily come in powder or tablet form. If you are uncertain which type would be best for you, consult your physician or pharmacist.

As well as adding fiber rich foods to your diet, you also need to boost your water intake. The rule is to drink 8-8oz. Glasses of water per day. Water will loosen your stool thus causing less strain on the anal muscles and decreasing your possibility of developing piles.

Change your toilet habits. Don’t wait till you’re feeling like you actually have to go. Avoiding going to the toilet will give your stool time to toughen whilst waiting in your guts to be expelled. Hard stool causes increased pushing which in turn causes undue stress to the anus and increases your possibility of developing hemorrhoids. The toilet might be the sole alone time that you can get. However, reading or staying on the toilet for longer periods then required can actually exacerbate the problem. Remember: Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The French invented the bidet for a reason. A clean anal area decreases the probability of developing hemroids.

Though cleaning with toilet roll alone is fine, there are now flushable wipes on the market which will guarantee a clean anus. They are safe to flush and safe to be used in your most sensitive areas. Also, excercise is part of the solution. Heck, It appears that everything can be stopped by adding a little exercise to our lives, if only we human beings were able to realize this simple fact.

Common sense dictates that if we’re not exercising or leading an active lifestyle, then we are opening ourselves up to a wide variety of diseases and other problems. Also remember that Long term sitting can cause strain to the anus. And strain put on the anal muscles is one of the root causes of piles!. A good rule of thumb to follow is that you should stretch and atleast walk around for at least five mins of each hour every day. That isn’t even real sweat causing exercise! Its just an easy trip to the kitchen for a drink of water! As well as not sitting for long amounts of time, exercising also helps to increase blood flow thru the veins and Increased blood flow in the anal veins will reduce pressure on those veins. Reduced pressure in viens helps in preventing constipation. These simple preventative measures can really go a long way in preventing piles from forming in the first place.
