Signs and Symptoms of Hemroids

It’s important to remember that hemroids is a typical illness in the US for folks who are in their 50’s and above. Your physician can confirm the symptoms you have are due to hemroids and not other illnesses or conditions. If you do not have a GP to check with, you can go to other general practitioners like the gastroenterologists, proctologists, and the gut and rectal surgeons who have experience with hemroids. These are a selection of the problems that you must carefully describe to the doctor : pain, bleeding, mucus or pus, change in bowel habit, change in the shape and traits of your stool, swelling, itching, and bulges and bumps.

Pain - The anal area has many nerve endings that is why it is sensitive so sensitive to pain.

Distressing flare-ups are a result of external hemroids. However, when internal hemroids are prolapsed, they are also quite unpleasant. But, not all hemroids will give you the distressing feeling.

Bleeding - The color of the blood is an indicator of the location of the bleeding - bright red is from the anal canal and dark red is from the bowel. Bleeding does not necessarily indicate hemroids. It may also be related to more heavy medical issues like colorectal cancer or ulcer. That is why it is so important to consult a physician before taking any further steps.

Mucus or pus - Having some mucus or pus discharge isn’t usually associated with hemroids.

Change in bowel habit - when you’re under emotional stress, trauma, or diet change, a change will happen in your bowel habit where swapping or protracted gut rot and constipation may occur. But when there’s a change in the shape or color of your stool, it can be a symptom of other medical issues but not hemroids.

Swelling - somebody with hemroids will always have the swelling symptom, but this can also mean other medical problems like infection.

Itching - hemroids, food and drugs allergies, skin sicknesses, stress, for example all may cause protracted itching. Thus not all these symptoms will lead to a diagnosis of hemroids.

As you can see the symptoms of hemroids are various and non are definite. Therefore, checking with a doctor is an absolute must, and shame or embarassment shouldn’t come in the way. Infact, it’s the easiest way to discover for sure whether you have hemroids or not.
